Stella is a 1-year old female terrier mix. Stella and her three litter mates (including Max) were born in September of 2016 and surrendered to People for Paws at approximately 12 weeks of age displaying signs of Parvo.
All four puppies were treated and survived. The puppies then spent the next several weeks in quarantine following Parvo protection protocol and convalescing at People for Paws.
Stella was adopted in January of 2017 and enrolled in Puppy Kindergarten at Healthy Tails starting in February. The training was very informative discussing the psychology of dogs and teaching basic dog training procedures. Another great aspect of the training is the socialization of the puppies — they have time to learn how to play together while the owners can watch their puppies interact and identify various dog behaviors.
Stella was a very shy dog and would rather watch than interact with the other dogs. After puppy training was completed, Stella started spending Wednesdays at doggie day camp for more socialization. Stella knows she is going to doggie day camp on Wednesdays and gets so excited to see her friends — she was even reunited with her litter mate, Max, at camp.
Stella has become an outgoing friendly adolescent dog, eager to explore, learn, and make new friends.
